And as I put my camera up to my eye, God spoke to me. My life right now is like the sky. I have bright, wonderful spots of happiness but also some trouble and burden. In Matthew 11:29 Jesus invites us to take his yoke:
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Jesus says that when we take his yoke we will learn from him. He also promises that his yoke will be easy, but plowing is still plowing. There is still work. He doesn't promise to take away the work but to guide us and help us do the work. I also think that there must be joy in the work. You know that joy you feel when you work with a friend to accomplish a task, there is fun and laughter, but still there is work.
Here are the pictures of the sky I took that day. May they remind you of Jesus' promise to be with us in the work.
