To take pictures at night requires long exposures, which of course requires a tripod. The exciting thing about this evening was that on the day before I got my new Gitzo tripod and Really Right Stuff BH-30 ball head. A tripod was one of the first accessories I got because all the photography say that it is one of the things you need most to become a good photographer. I began with a Manfrotto - a good tripod that cost way more than I expected. The trouble was that I never used it because it was too heavy to carry for long. So after a while I got a travel tripod - highly rated and lightweight, but not really as sturdy as the big tripod.
So I began my search for the PERFECT tripod. I read reviews and looked at prices everywhere - and then it happened Gitzo was offering a rebate of $150. Now they were in the "it might be possible if I use my savings and don't buy anything else for a couple of months" realm. Now I searched in earnest. I wanted to make sure that Gitzo was really the best and it wanted the tripod that would be perfect in every way. After many hours reading I realized that there really isn't the perfect tripod. The lighter the weight the less weight they can hold; a 4 leg section tripod is shorter and more compact then a 3 section but it is not as stable as a 3 section. The better the head you get the more weight it adds to the tripod but the more stable it is. When I finally made my decision I was afraid I had made the wrong one and that I would make just one more expensive mistake.
So I bought the 3 section Gitzo - 3 inches longer but more stable. It isn't the lightest but it isn't the heaviest. It handles the weight of my equipment now (unless someone wants to buy me a full frame 5D Mark III).
Thankfully accepting God's love is not like selecting a tripod. We don't have to be afraid to accept his love. His love IS PERFECT. I John 4: 16-19 tells us this:
So we know that God loves us. We depend on it.
God is love. Anyone who leads a life of love shows that he is joined to God. And God is joined to him.
So love is made complete among us. We will be bold on the day God judges us. That's because in this world we love as Jesus did.
There is no fear in love. Instead, perfect love drives fear away. Fear has to do with being punished. The one who fears does not have perfect love.
We love because he loved us first.
