I choose joy because true joy comes from one place, the Lord Jesus Christ. Nehemiah 8:10 tells us the "The joy of the Lord is your strength." As I face a new semester I see so much to do. I want to go to the Lord for strength. I want to choose joy in my daily life because choosing joy means choosing Jesus Christ.
I choose beauty because I want my photography to reflect beauty. A common saying is beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I want others to see the beauty of God in my photographs. I want to see God as the giver of beauty and to seek that beauty more then I seek things. My prayer is Psalm 27:4
One thing have I asked of the Lord, that I will seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.
The slideshow below of a beautiful place that I visited for the first time on our Christmas trip to Macon December 27 and on the way back on December 30. Tallulah Gorge State Park in Tallulah Falls, Georgia. Instead of going south through Atlanta, this time we decided to go through the mountains of North Carolina and Georgia through Athens.
