Surely God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid, for the LORD GOD is my strength and my might; he has become my salvation. With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.
And you will say in that day: Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known his deeds among the nations; proclaim that his name is exalted. Sing praises to the LORD, for he has done gloriously; let this be known in all the earth. Shout aloud and sing for joy, O royal Zion, for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.
Today I had some real joy! Thomas and I went to Panther Creek and I walked .92 of a mile. At one time this would have taken hardly any time. Today much longer, but I was hiking on a trail. We got there about an hour before sunset and watched the sun go down.
I find picnic tables interesting. I have taken pictures of them in many places. Some are made of stone or concrete, some of wood. Most of the time picnic tables are not used. They sit there waiting to be used, in all kinds of weather. When they are used the people there are usually celebrating something or just having fun.
God sets a table of joy before us - always there, always waiting for us to join him. We just need to sit down at them much more often.
There they are in the distance. I love living in a place where I am surrounded by mountains.
