Since we left the day after graduation I have been working all this week on closing out the school year and completing my yearly evaluation. I finished with almost everything today. I need to do one more degree plan and I will be done. I will be moving on to thinking about next year and the course that I am going to redesign.
It has been a stormy week weather wise. This the week of the tornado in Moore, OK where a school was hit and 25 people lost their lives. The storms here have not been so devastating, but they have brought about interesting skies.
Today in my Bible study I came across this verse: 2 Corinthians 5:1, For we know that if our temporary, earthly dwelling is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal dwelling in the heavens, not made by human hands. It made me think about the interesting skies that we have seen and now the heavens will be our dwelling. We don't know what that heavenly dwelling will look like but I think it will be an interesting as the skies that I have seen this week. And while we fear the skies that turn dark and fill with tornadoes God promises us a dwelling that can't be destroyed.
Below are some pictures I took today of the beautiful blue skies with big fluffy clouds. There is also one picture that I took yesterday of the sun as it set through stormy skies. I took the pictures of the clouds today when I went to take a summer picture of the New Market tree. The light was all wrong on the tree and the field where it sits had been partially mowed. But as I got back in the car I looked out and saw the beautiful skies. I hope these pictures remind you of the beauty of the heavens and the eternal dwelling that God has made for us there.
