Soar we now where Christ hath led, Alleluia!
Following our exalted Head, Alleluia!
Made like Him, like Him we rise, Alleluia!
Ours the cross,
the grave,
the skies,
Alleluia!
This is the last verse of Christ the Lord is Risen Today. I am not sure why the words to this hymn mean so much to me but for me, this song is the story of Easter. Soar we now where Christ hath led, Alleluia! Following our exalted Head, Alleluia! Made like Him, like Him we rise, Alleluia! Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia! This is the cross at our church that we fill with flowers every Easter. In the background is the stained glass window that I saw for the first time on Easter Sunday, 1988 - 3 years after we lost our church to fire and about 2 months before Meredith was born.
